KARACHI: Dr Iqra Raza has achieved the distinction of being first oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Chitral, family sources told ChitralToday.
She did her bachelor of dentistry (BDS) from Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry Karachi with distinction and the specialization from Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty focusing on reconstructive surgery of the face, facial trauma surgery, the oral cavity, head and neck, mouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery, according to Wikipedia.
Dr Iqra, daughter of Sam Sam Ali Khan Advocate, belongs to Dizg village in Upper Chitral and currently works with Noor Dental Clinic, Karachi.
