Temple burnt by mob will be reconstructed: CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Friday announced that the provincial government would reconstruct the temple set on fire and demolished by a mob at Terri area of district Karak. 

The head of the one-man commission on minorities’ rights, Dr Shoaib Suddle, met the chief minister to discuss matters to the Karak incident. MNA Ramesh Kumar and Chief Secretary Dr Kazim Niaz were also present during the meeting. 

The chief minister termed the incident highly condemnable and said the provincial government was taking steps to bring people involved in the incident to justice, adding  a number of  people have been arrested for allegedly being involved in the incident.

Mahmood Khan reiterated the resolve that the provincial government would ensure protection of all holy places of minorities in the province and no one would be allowed to take law into his hands.

    How long your govt will be reconstructing places of worships belonging to minorities. Reconstruction is not the answer rather you should punish those who attack minorities and their worship places.
