Girl commits suicide in Shogram village

CHITRAL: A 20-year-old girl commits suicide by jumping into the river near Shogram village of Upper Chitral, local sources told ChitralToday.

But the station house officer (SHO) of the area claimed that according to initial information the girl had gone to the river to fetch water and slipped into it accidentally. He said the body has not been recovered yet.

The SHO said police were investigating the matter and after gathering details would register an FIR, accordingly–GH Fraooqui
