HEC recognizes research journal of University of Chitral

CHITRAL: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has recognized a biannual research journal of University of Chitral,  “Journal of Religious Studies” in the ‘Y’ category.

A press release issued by the university said to facilitate the researchers the University of Chitral had started nine journals in various disciplines which were being published in the platform of OJS in online as well as printed forms.

Currently, the Journal of Religious Studies has been recognized by the HEC whereas the formalities for the recognition of the rest are in process.

Till now five editions of the university’s Journal of Religious Studies have been published which contain latest research of national and international researchers.

The journal is available in printed form as well as online and CD Rom versions with three ISSN numbers and DOI facility and has been indexed by 11 leading indexing agencies of the world.

The journal can be accessed at www.jrs.uoch.edu.pk/. Publishing of quality research journals by the university will be a milestone in promotion of research culture in Chitral.

This was the first research journal of the new university of Chitral which was published in December 2018 within the span of a very short period of time after the establishment of the university in 2017.
