It may be noted that the road connecting the town with the Chitral airport and nearby villages is also used for communication with the Garam Chashma valley.
However, due to non-repair for years, this portion of the road has been in a very poor shape creating hardship for the commuters.
A number of times, the residents of Balach and other villages as well as students of Chitral University held protests demanding repair of the road.
Most of the roads across Chitral have not been reconstructed especially after they were damaged during floods since 2015.
Besides, projects to reconstruct Chitral to Booni and Shandur as well as Kalash valley have been facing delays as funds for most of them were not released by the PTI government.
Work on the road to the airport has been launched after prolonged delay after the government promised release of funds on the demand of the public representatives.
