Two more positive coronavirus cases take tally to seven
CHITRAL: Two more cases of positive coronavirus cases took tally to seven in Chitral on Thursday.
One of the new patients tested positive for COVID-19 in Upper Chitral, taking the total number of patients to two in the district.
There were already four confirmed patients in Lower Chitral district and the addition of another took the tally in whole Chitral to seven.
The new positive coronavirus patient in Upper Chitral has been identified by the health department as Ghulam Rasool, 60, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Shagram, Torkhow.
The patient has been shifted to the isolation ward of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Booni from a government building where he was quarantined after return from outside Chitral.
According to AC Lower Chitral Abdul Wali Khan, Sanaullah, 33, son of Shirin Baig, resident of Balach lower, tested positive on Thursday.
The patient returned from Peshawar a few days ago and was quarantined in Chitral town. Now shifted to isolation at DHQ hospital.
One and a half month after the first case was reported in Pakistan, the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Lower Chitral on April 19. The next day, three ore patients emerged in the town taking the tally to four.
O April 21, the first confirmed case was reported from Upper Chitral‘s Booni town.
Meanwhile, people in Mastuj, Yarkhun and Laspur decided to intensify coronavirus lockdown on their own and asked residents to follow the precautions strictly and avoid roaming around in villages.
The people of Sarghur and Nisur through banners also warned against violating the precautions and told all those coming to their homes from different cities to remain on self-isolation.
All of them will get well soon inshallah if not already ailing of other fatal disease.
