Fifth suspected corona patient in hospital

BOONI: Chitral’s fifth suspected corona patient was brought to the THQ hospital in Booni from Terich in Mulkhow.

“Under the directions of Shah Saud, DC District Upper Chitral Mukaram Khan, Addl Assistant Commissioner along with Jehanzed SDPO and Rabnawaz Tehsildar Mastuj visited Zakirullah, son of Abdullah of Terich, Mulkhow, a suspect case of coronavirus and brought him to the isolation ward at THQ Booni,” said the district administration in a statement.

Chitral’s fifth suspected corona patient is receiving the available treatment, his blood sample is going to be dispatched to concerned laboratory for thorough examination.

It said the SDPO had also been directed to take all other required measures at the patient’s home and surrounding area to prevent its spread in case it turns out (God forbid) to be a confirmed case.

So far, both the districts of Chitral are free of the disease and all four suspected patients earlier tested negative for the virus.

But social activists warn that there should be no room for complacency on spread of coronovarus in Chitral.

The area lacks facilities to treat or cope with any emergency situation and therefore there is a need to be extra cautious.

But people of Chitral are following the restrictions and safety guidelines to check the spread of the virus.
