Spring tree plantation drive launched in Lower Chitral

CHITRAL: The district administration on Friday inaugurated a spring tree plantation drive as a part of the government’s 10 billion tree tsunami project.

The project was opened in Chitral town by Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Naveed Ahmed in the presence of administrative officers from different departments.

Free saplings were also distributed among representatives of communities from remote areas of the districts on the occasion.

The DC office in a post said 150 million trees would be planted during the spring 2020.
