Appointment of Class IV in district health office suspended

PESHAWAR: All appointments recently made in the office of the district health officer (DHO) Chitral have been held in abeyance.

An order issued by the directorate general heath services Peshawar said the appointment in the DHO of Class IV or any other staff will be kept in abeyance till completion of an inquiry.

The move comes after allegations that the posts were filled without following rules and ignoring merit to accommodate supporters of the ruling PTI.

On Dec 25, JUI Chitral leaders demanded that the appointments should be cancelled as they were made without consulting consulting the MPA Chitral.
