BOONI: At least seven people were injured during a clash between two groups of people near Booni on Sunday.
An official at the Booni police told ChitralToday on phone at 10:30am on Monday that an FIR had been registered but so far no arrest had been made. He said the SHO and other officials were in the bazaar area where one of the groups was holding a protest demonstration.
He said the police were yet to receive medical reports about the injured.
Sources told ChitralToday that the clash occurred over the vast uninhabited land located on the left side of the river near Kruijunali, Booni, on which the Raza clan of Kruinunali and Awi have an ownership claim for long.
They said it was the area where His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan met his followers in late 2017.
On Sunday, when some people belonging to the Raza clan were establishing duck hunting ponds in the area, a large number of people from Kruijunali reached there and entered into a clash with them.
