Patients suffer as medical stores shut in Garam Chashma

GARAM CHASHMA: Patients and their relatives suffered hardship as all medical stores here pulled down their shutters after two pharmacies in the town were sealed by a drug inspector.

During a raid, the drug inspector took action against a private medical store and the pharmacy of the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital run by the Aga Khan Health Service for operating without licence.

Soon after the action, all other medical stores were closed in the town, creating hardships for the patients.

People of Garam Chashma told ChitralToday that the government’s abrupt action had created lost of problems for them. They said if the medical stores were running without fulfilling legal requirements why they were not issued notices before sealing them.

They called upon the deputy commissioner Chitral to take notice of the issue and ensure reopening of the medical stores.
