Shandur festival an opportunity to get Chitral’s issues resolved

CHITRAL: A meeting called by district nazim Maghfirate Shah and DDAC chairman Wazirzada MPA discussed arrangements to welcome chief and other guests at the Shandur festival and Chiral’s issues to be presented before them for solution.

The meeting held at Governor Cottage was also attended by MPA Molana Hidayatur Rehman, civil society and polo association representatives.

The participants said that  apart from being a mega cultural and sports event, Shandur festival provides an opportunity to present Chitral’s problems before authorities concerned and get them resolved. Chitral’s political leadership always rolled out red carpet to the visiting dignitaries at the event without any political differences and a number of projects were announced at Shandur and later completed in Chitral.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Wazirzada shed light on the development activities being carried out by the PTI government in Chitral.

He said demands related to the electrification of whole Chitral, construction of Chitral to Booni and Shandur road, Kalash valley road and Garam Chashma road and Chitral University should be presented before the authorities attending the festival as chief guests.

The meeting also discussed in details issues of both Upper and Lower Chitral such as electrification, construction of roads and provision of healthcare and other facilities to the residents.
