BREP: Food items, including flour, sugar, tea and pulses, and non-food items such as blankets, shawls, sweaters, warm caps and gloves were distributed among deserving people in Brep.
The items were handed over to the community members whose houses were washed away in the 2015 floods to help them cope with the harsh winter.
A press release said the relief items were arranged by Hashoo Foundation in collaboration with the Muslim Hands charity organization.
About 40 houses along with standing crops and fruit trees as well as shops schools and healthcare centres were damaged in Brep in 2015. A govt middle school for girls was also washed away.
In 2007, scores of families in the same village were rendered homeless by flash floods.
