Three-day polio campaign postponed
CHITRAL: The district administration of Chitral on Sunday announced that the three-day anti-polio campaign scheduled to start on Jan 21 had been suspended till further orders.
The decision was taken after blockades of different roads following heavy snowfall across the valley. A severe cold wave has also gripped the district necessitating the suspension of the polio drive.
The polio workers could not have been able to cover children in difficult terrains after the heavy snowfall. New dates for the polio drive will be announced later.
