Two held for possessing drugs and liquor: police
CHITRAL: The Mulkhow police arrested two men after recovering narcotics, liquor and arms from their possession during its ongoing crackdown, the district police said on Sunday.
It said on a tip-off, the police in Mulkhow conducted a raid in Gaht upper and recovered 50 litres of local wine, 10 litres of thara, one 12-bore rifle with 18 cartridges and charas crop weighing 17 kilogrames from the possession of Mirza Wali.
The police said 43 kilogrammes rough charas crop was also recovered from Saeedur Rehman in the same area. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects and investigations are underway.
The police said it had launched the crackdown against drug peddlers with the objective of making Chitral a drug-free area.
