VC nazim wants posting of doctor to Bumburate BHU

CHITRAL: Village Council Bumburate nazim Muhammad Rafi Advocate has called upon the authorities of the health department to appoint a doctor at the Basic Health Unit (BHU) of the area.

In a statement, he said for years the BHU had been without a doctor creating immense issues for the residents as well as tourists.

He said even for minor ailments the locals have to go to the Chitral town and most of the residents cannot afford it.

The nazim said the residents have been demanding appointment of a doctor at the health facility and even raised the issue with the deputy commissioner during an open forum held in Bumburate.

The DC had promised to arrange the posting of a doctor at the BHU but so far the post remains vacant.

The nazim said the new PTI government should post a doctor at the BHU otherwise the locals would be forced to launch a protest move. — Muhkam Uddin
