Father of two commits ‘suicide’ in Yarkhun

CHITRAL: A 40-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into river in Yarkhun Lasht. His body was recovered from riverside in front of Meragram No 2.
While rising cases of suicide in Chitral have become a major concerns with the KP government announcing to probe the factors through a four-member commission, the latest incident came about the middle-aged man.
Police said Sadruddin, son of Gulab Khan, of Yarkhun Lasht had gone missing two days ago from his village. Today, his body was recovered from the riverside in front of Meragram No 2 village.
It is said that he was father of two and had been jobless. It is presumed that he has committed suicide by jumping into the river. The police have shifted the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital Booni for an autopsy.
This is the second suicide in the outgoing week in Chitral while the total number of such cases in 2018 has reached 46.–Nazir Hussain Shah
