ChitralToday correspondent in Booni, Tehreek Huqooq leader Shujauddin Lal said the residents of Booni were thankful to the SRSP chief for completing the powerhouse to end the power crisis in the area. Work on the powerhouse was started in early 2015 but due to different reasons the project could not be completed on time. Due to a shortage of water, the powerhouse is currently generating about 250 kilowatts which is being supplied via seven out of the total 15 transformers to areas from Krui Junali to Booni Lasht. The powerhouse will start generating at its full capacity very soon. The other areas of Booni would also start receiving electricity from the powerhouse within a few days, he added.]]>
