Chitrali youth hire CDA ground for sports academy

A press release issued by the Chitral Football Club said the Chitral Football Academy came into existence through tireless efforts of Aga Khan Foundation (KF) Chief Executive Officer Akhtar Iqbal and Meraj Ali Jan. The academy was formally opened at a function chaired by prominent Chitrali town developer Sultan Wali. The function was also attended by members of the Chitral Youth Forum and football enthusiasts from Chitral living in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, Asif Ali Taj shed light of the objectives of the multi-purpose academy in the federal capital. Mr Sultan Wali said sports activities not only promoted a healthy society but also kept the youth from unhealthy activities. He promised all-out support for the promotion of sports activities among the Chitrali youth. Mr Wali also announced Rs200,000 donation for the youth forum.]]>
