Powerhouse restoration body postpones protest

The committee held a meeting to discuss a one pont agenda that was to demand the KP government to start work on the restoration of upper Chitral’s only powerhouse damaged in the July 2015 floods. The meeting was chaired by Mr Nadir Jang of Reshun. As arrangements were in place to hold a protest public gathering on April 20, it was delayed for a week on the assurance of AC Mastuj, Mr Hayat Shah. Once again the AC visited Reshun and assured the committee members that electricity for the area would be arranged before Ramazan. The committee members decided to postpone the protest and demanded that work on the project should be started and the area should be provided power as promised otherwise the people would launch their protest.]]>
