A large number of people participated in the two-day festival during which different games and sport activities, including football, volleyball, cricket, cartoon movies, declamation contests for children, local and traditional games and Inam Ghar were arranged, says a press release issued by the Chitral Scouts.
The people of the area said that it was the first major festival ever arranged in the tehsil of Arandu. They thanked the army and the Chitral Scouts for organizing the event and said besides defending the boundaries of the motherland and working for maintenance of peace the armed forces were also providing healthy activities to the people.
At the end of the festival, Wing Commander (wing 3) Lt-Col Faisal Imran distributed awards and trophies among the winning teams and best performing players.
