Division Forest Officer (DFO) Chitral Mohammad Saleem Marwat distributed 12,000 saplings among the citizens through Chitral Tehsil Nazim Mohammad Ilyas at a function held at Shahmiran Deh (Singoor). Addressing on the occasion, DFO Marwat said no project can be successful without ownership and involvement of the local community. He said the residents should at least a sapling each to overcome the shortage of forest in the country. The tehsil nazim said plantation was a good work (Sadqa Jaria) and Islam emphasized on it. He said Shahmiran Deh was facing a shortage of potable drinking water and the tehsil administration had already recommended for the construction of well for the area. He said people should participate in the plantation campaign and play their role in making it a success.]]>
