International Civil Aviation Organisation should take action against CAA

The poor governance and administration in every part of our daily life, in government, corporate sector, socioeconomic and justice system is severely distressing us and every day news came as a bombshell. The PIA air crash is not surprising for us. The history of aviation accident is full with awful incidents. However, the recent one of PK 661 crash on December 7, 2016, at Havilien is neither a pilot error nor seems to be a sudden mechanical failure. It is a sheer failure of the PIA operation management. The faulty airplane was forced to operate for a couple of years instead of being grounded. This is a sheer negligence or a planned killing. Both the actions on the part of PIA comes under terrorist activities and FIR should be lodged against those responsible for the operation of a faulty aircraft under the terrorism act. We, therefore, appeal to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to take action against CAA Pakistan under International Civil Aviation Standards and Recommended Practices(SARPs) and policies in support of a safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible Civil Aviation sector. The SARPs  standards used by ICAO member states (Pakistan is also a signatory to the  convention) to ensure that their local aviation operations and regulations conform to global norms, which in turn permits over 100,000 daily flights in aviation’s global network to operate  safely and reliably in every region of the world. Both CAA and PIA failed to fulfill the international and national obligations and both of them should be held responsible for killing 48 innocent people. I, therefore,  request our people in their own interest of safety and in the interest of our national image to forced the law enforcing organizations to take action against the defaulters and ensure that SARPs safety standards have fully been adopted.
