Accompanied by Amanullah Khan, assistant country director, Muhi Usamah, disaster risk management specialist, Shuja Hakim, communications officer, Naufil Naseer, programme adviser Norway embassy, and Tom Jorgen, first secretary development, the UNDP country director visited sites of different projects being funded by the UN agency and Norway. The donors visited Ochosht, Zargarandeh, Mughulandeh, Balach, Moldeh and other villages and viewed protection walls being built through financial support of the UNDP and the Norway government. Under the funds, people are also being trained on disaster risk management. They also visited a village situated near governor cottage where people of the area requested them for the construction of stairs and protection walls towards the flood nullah. People of Chitral thanked the team and requested them to continue their support to this backward and calamity hit area. Talking to this scribe, Tom Jorgen said the people and the government of Norway would continue their financial support to the people of Chitral to enhance their life standard by giving them training on different titles as well as launching rehabilitation and developmental schemes.]]>
