I on behalf of myself and my entire family and friends would like to thank from the bottom of heart to the the organizers of the condolence references and the participants in all these condolence gatherings, from Karachi to Chitral and from Garam Chashma to Booni. All these are sign and symbols of love of all Chitralis for their late brother, an icon of peace bridge, harmony, respect, generosity, hospitality and affection, Late MPA Zainul Abidin(May his soul rest in peace). All our brother and sisters from Arandu to Broghal and Karachi to Gilgit Baltistan, across the country and continents deserve appreciation. One thing worth mentioning here that with the development of science and technology and particularly information technology we should not lose and compromise out identity and our rich culture. It is our huge asset and great blessing from Almighty Allah that we are respected all over the world because of our unique culture. It is equivalent to a big degree. I remember remarks of our respected Professor Dr Tariqullah,Doha, Qatar and younger brother of Late MPA Zainul Abidin when he he went to Gomal University for an interview for the position of Assistant Professor. The Chairman and other members of the selection committee apart from basic criteria for the said position gave more importance and weight to Chitrali Domicile than Gold Medal Degree.I don’t want to boast by giving more examples.Stay blessed all of you.

A man who irrespective of race, religion or other vested interests, endeavored his whole life for the collective well being of humanity. His life beyond any doubt was free from all sort of prejudices. He acted as a bridge between various ethnic and religious communities of chitral. He not only loved humanity, but worked hard to extend his care to every creation in the universe.
Gloryfying him after his demise in such a brilliant way by his peers is testimony to the fact that, he was enamored by the masses in a very large scale. Not because he was a politician or a social activist, but a very kind hearted person.
Thank you peshawar press club and all others for arranging an extraordinary programme to pay homage to our beloved father in a nice way. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.

Dear Abbaji you had always been a source of strength, unity and power for the entire family. Our loss was huge, but the way people stood with us, the way they shared our pain and showed their love towards you, healed our souls and made us rise again. You have left us with a legacy based on true values of love and loyalty; you will always be loved and remembered for those values.

Just wanted to add that our brother Mr. Fazal e Khaliq- DC Kohistan who had come all the way down from Kohistan especially for this event, also attended the session. He had a very special connection with Abbaji who used to visit him quite often. Also it goes without saying that without Mr Sharif Shakeeb’s huge support this references could not have been organised in such an impressive manner. MR. SHAKEEB hails from Lone and works for Geo network as their senior journalist based in Peshawar. He hosted the event.Let me take this opportunity and thank all those young boys who actually organised the show.May I also extend my sincere apologies to those respected professionals who were either not invited or their invitation letters could not be delivered to them. We missed you all and regret your absence.
MR. ALI KHAN in his long correction note picked one point and tried to throw his anger at the writer in a very upsetting manner. ABBAJI had never called himself a royal nor does anyone in the family believes so. But if it is for putting facts together in order to keep the records correct; let me just add that at the end of the day one would dig into history and would find that the founder of Katoor dynasty was a real younger brother of Tariq ullah. What would you call an elder brother of the king then? THE word used may have been the writer’s way of paying him tributes in his own way and there is no harm in it by the way. We won’t become royal nor would want to; but Mr Ali khan had to correct the records ignoring the rest what was being said. This wasn’t the right moment to pinpoint something which wasn’t that important to come up with such reaction. We are common people and would love to remain like that.

The condolence reference was also attended by Dr Tariq ullah khan professor at Qatar foundation and the younger brother of late MPA Zain ul abadin .dearest Dada may your soul rest in peace.

  11. Ali Khan says

May his soul rest in peace. Please note and correct that he did not belong to the former ruling family of Chitral. The Nai Tarikh Chitral printed by the former court has termed these tribes originated from Baba Ayub as the noble tribes of Chitral however they were not considered royal family a status enjoyed by the ruling prince and his close relatives. There is a new wave where we see descendants of former lals hakims and charvelus calling them selves the royals from Chitral. We cannot have 100000 princes in Chitral we are fedup of the existing few ones.
