Two calamities one after the other last year brought Chitral in spotlight the world over. PM Nawaz Sharif, COAS Raheel Sharif, CM and others made a beeline to Chitral and announced funds and rehabilitation projects. But due to negligence of our leaders especially two MPAs and one MNA our people could not get the benefit. the amount given to Chitral by Nawaz Sharif was misused and genuine affected people particularly in upper Chitral could not get the compensation. In their place, non deserving persons whose houses were totally intact got the cheques.
One should ask the MNA why he could not resolve the issue of loans which Nawaz Sharif announced to waive but still small farmers are being pressured by private banks to return their money and the state bank is refusing to issue a notification to help the people. This was a clerical type of work but it seems no one is listening to our elected representatives bcoz they totally failed to highlight the gravity of the calamities.

Start of survey work for transmission line from Golengole is really a good news for the people of Chitral. We remember this was announced by our MNA before. We expect and await for even more good news “starting of construction work on Motoway or Expressway from Chakdara to Chitral and from Chitral to Booni, Mastuj, Shandur, Torkhow, Garumchishma and to Kalash valleys” when start of fiber net service is also anxiously awaited at Chitral.
