Punjab Rescue 1122 reaches Chitral

DSC04714 The Rescue 1122 teams would be working in the quake-hit areas of Kuragh, Mastuj, Garam Chashma, Chitral town and nearby areas. Speaking at a press conference after reaching Chitral, Rescue 1122 Punjab Director General Brig retired Arshad Raza said the rescue personnel had come to the valley on the direction of the chief minister Punjab. He said the team officials were experts in rescue operation but as the rescue work had almost been completed in Chitral, they would be helping the affected people in rehab and medical treatment. He said the rescue personnel would be working in three teams. One of the teams led by Dr Farhan would be working in the Chitral town area. He said he had realized that due to its topography and vulnerability to natural calamities, Chitral needed a permanent rescue team and in this regard the KP government should take steps. He, however, added that the chief minister Punjab would also be briefed about the matter.]]>
