CHITRAL, April 1: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (JUI) Chitral have entered into an electoral alliance for the local government elections to be held in May.
Announcing the formation of the alliance, the district Amir of JI, Maghfirat Shah and that of JUI, Qari Abdur Rahman Qureshi said that the alliance was the need of the hour which had turned inevitable to rid the people of the myriad of problems.
They said that out of the twenty four union councils of the district, they had targeted sixteen union councils which have been equally distributed between the two parties while the alliance will remain intact in the second phase of the election as well.
They added that JI has been allocated the union councils of Arandu, Drsoh-II, Ayun, Chitral-I, Denin, Kosht, Mulkhow and Shagram while the union councils of Ashrait, Drosh-I, Sheshi Koh, Broze, Chitral-II, Koh, Oveer and Terich have been given to JUI.
The alliance leaders said that the party winning more number of seats in the first phase of the election will be unconditionally supported by the other party in the second phase of the election of tehsil and district chairman.
They expressed the resolve that the workers of both the parties will be mobilized to work leading to landslide victory of the alliance in the polls.
They said that the two parties had gained a historical electoral victory when they joined each other to form Muttahida Majlis Amal (MMA) and this will be repeated in the local bodies polls as the people were eagerly waiting for the alliance of the two religious parties.
Responding to a question, they refuted any type of acrimony between the leaders of the two parties in the past and said that they had been contesting elections in their separate polatforms but did never evince hostility against each other.

بدھ کے روز چترال پریس کلب میں ایک پر ہجوم پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے جماعت اسلامی کے امیر مغفرت شاہ، جمعیت علمائے اسلام کے امیر قاری عبدالرحمن قریشی نے کہاکہ چترال کے عوام دینی سیاسی جماعتوں کی اتحاد کے منتظر تھے ا ور یہ چترال کی سیاسی تاریخ میں مضبوط ترین اتحاد ثابت ہوگااور ایم ایم اے کی طرح نتائج کا حامل ہوگا۔ جماعت اسلامی کے مولانا شیر عزیز، مولانا اسرارا لدین الہلال اور جے یو آئی کے رہنما سابق ایم پی اے مولانا عبدالرحمن اور مولانا عبدالشکور کی معیت میں پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہاکہ ضلعے کے چوبیس یونین کونسلوں میں سے سولہ یونین کونسلوں کو ٹارگٹ بناتے ہوئے آٹھ آٹھ یونین کونسل دونوں جماعتوں میں تقسیم کئے گئے۔
یونین کونسلوں کی تقسیم کے حوالے سے انہوں نے کہاکہ جماعت اسلامی کو ارندو، دروش ٹو، ایون، چترال ون ، دنین، کوشٹ ، موڑکھو اور شاگرام جبکہ جے یو آئی کو عشریت، شیشی کوہ، دروش ون، بروز، چترال ٹو، کوہ، اویراور تریچ کے یونین کونسل مل گئے جن میں وہ ضلع کونسل کے لئے امیدوار نامزد کریں گے ۔بلدیاتی انتخابات کے دوسرے مرحلے کے حوالے سے انہوں نے کہاکہ یہ اتحاد برقراررہے گااور جس جماعت کی ذیادہ نشستیں آئیں گے ، اسی کو تحصیل یا ضلع میں حکومت سازی کا حق ہوگا اور کم نشست جیتنے والی جماعت ان کی حمایت کا پابند ہوگا۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ دینی سیاسی جماعتوں کا اتحاد وقت کا تقاضا تھا کیونکہ گزشتہ کئی سالوں سے چترال کے عوام گوناگون مشکلات سے دوچار ہیں ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ اتحاد کے حوالے سے جو متفقہ فارمولا طے ہوا ہے ،اس پر دونوں جماعتیں خلوص دل اور پوری ایماندار ی سے عمل کرکے مطلوبہ نتیجہ حاصل کریں گے۔
ایک سوال کا جواب دیتے ہوئے اُنہوں نے کہا کہ دونوں جماعتوں کی قیادت میں کوئی اختلاف موجود نہیں اور ماضی میں اگر کوئی تلخی ہوئی بھی ہو،تو اسے بھلادیا ہے۔ ویلج کونسل کے لیول پر اتحاد کے حوالے سے ایک سوال کا جواب دیتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہاکہ اس سلسلے میں دونوں جماعتوں کی مقامی لیڈرشپ آپس میں فارمولا طے کریں گے ۔ اس سے قبل دونوں جماعتوں کے سینکڑوں کارکنان نے شاہی بازار کے جامع مسجد سے ایک جلوس نکالا جو پریس کلب میں اختتام پذیر ہوئی۔
Mr. Shahid we are not talking about words and not some how related to grammer , its an issue related to the democratic approch of jui an ji and make an allience for the betterment of mountain community. So for words we need ” surfon nehwa” for its correctnenn but the stage is incoming election.
Mr. Iqbal then at least Mulana and Siraj should not talk about religion.
Mr. Haseeb me and you are not the frame of refference to decide the controverses on the base of offering pray by mulana presided by siraj ul haq. Its not the ultimate event as you stated for showering of flowers on supra mention person.

Mr. Iqbal, I would be the first to shower them with flowers if Mulana Fazl Ur Rehman started offering prayers behind Siraj Ul Haq or vice versa.
Your assertion is completely unfounded both gentlemen have political differences not religious for you to insinuate the opposite is most disingenuous.
Mr.Haseesb and Zahoor definietly your correct on one profile of coin which is mostly based on probability. But the other profile of coin is some how very realistic in nature. What’s democracy,its a western form of governance and having no space in our eastern culture. If our religious personalities got unity its a better achievement “daair ayat, droost ayat”. Then why we object about their alliance for the betterment of muslim community. Its the genetic of our chitrali people that if they lack unity than we object them and if they got unity still we object them. So need of “ISLAH” of our own instead of raising finger on others.

We knew it. They call each other ‘munafaq’; they don’t like offering prayers in each other’s mosques; they think of other’s as agents of so and so; they disown each other for ‘selfdeveloped version of Islam’. BUT when political intetest is before them they unite, and unite only to exploit people’s religious sentiments and get their political interests fulfilled. To hell with your standards. You have corrupted the very religious sentiments of poor people only to get your ‘karobar’ established. I wonder how will you face Allah on the Day of Judgment!!!! You claim to believe in Him, you think that you are doing service to Islam, while what you are doing in practice are what Allah abhors and Islam catagorically prohibits: developing schisms and using religion to establish monopoly and ‘karubaar’. May Allah give you Hidayah before you return to Him!! Ameen!
Danish has old enmity with religious people when he falsely reported the Eid sermon in Singoor some years ago and had to apologize to the security agencies when he was asked to prove it which was aimed at igniting communal rift between the two sects in Chitral living in peace with each other. Later, Mr. Danish also tried to become the Malala of Chitral by jumping into a ravine near his home and booked his opponents with the allegation of attempting to murder him for his writings.
