Accord inked to promote Chitrali embroidery, dress desining
DROSH, March 30: An agreement has been reached between the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Drosh Institute of Computer and Technical Education (DICTE) for dress designing and traditional Chitrali embroidery work to represent the valley’s culture at international level.
The project was sanctioned by the director general NVTTC Peshawar at a total cost of Rs3,838,000/ under the “Short-term skill development course of prime minister’s Hunarmand scheme.”
Managing Director DICTE Irfan Ullah Jan Riza and DG NVTTC Javeed Iqbal signed the documents. Soon the admission for training will be advertised . The DICTE will provide free technical training, hostel, certificates and monthly stipend of Rs2000 to each student.
It is to be noted that DICTE is the only institution which provides quality education, including computer courses and technical education, to both male and female students.
