Chitral Scouts Martyr's family provided house

CHITRAL, Dec 27: A residential colony for the families of martyrs of Chitral Scouts was inaugurated with the allotment of a house at Singoor on Friday. keys copyLt-Col Mohammad Tahir, the commander of Chitral Scouts Wing 1, was chief guest on the occasion. He unveiled the plaque of the colony and handed over the keys of the first house built in the colony to the widow of Naik Muhammad Karim, who was martyred at Dara Adam Khel on June 26, 2012. About 350 more houses will be constructed for the families at the site in phases. Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Tahir said the colony and residential houses would be allotted to the widows of martyrs on the directive of Major General Muhammad Tyaab Azam, the Inspector General of Frontier Corps. He said the government had decided to fully compensate the bereaved families of the martyrs not only by giving them residential plots and free education to their children but also awarding their children stipends (scholarships). The families will draw full salary of the martyrs as well. He thanked the management of the Northern Citizens Community Board (NCCB) for arranging land for the project on 30 per cent discount. Former MPA and president of PML-N Chitral chapter Saeed Ahmad, who is also the chairman of the NCCB, said they allotted the plots to the widows of martyrs on discount. He also said that all the facilities would be provided at the housing scheme. Managing Director NCCB Shahzada Ibrahim Pirzada said they were working in different sectors like adult education, handicrafts, promoting trout fish besides arranging cooking training sessions for women and allotting residential houses to people on easy instatements. Talking to this scribe, Rabia Parveen, the widow of martyr Muhammad Karim, thanked the IGFC and the NCCB for arranging the residential house for her and her three children.
