Booni, Nov 1: In the changing economic and social environment, the people of Chitral, especially the youth, should acquire technical education and skills in sectors such as tourism, gemstones, agriculture, mobile communication etc. The importance of technical education and skill development was emphasized at a seminar titled “’Exploring opportunities and working together” organized by the Aga Khan Economic and Planning Board in Booni. DRO Chitral Ghafar Khan was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, AKRSP manager Mr Mansoor said, “We need to empower the poor people through technical education and by creating awareness among them about starting micro level businesses.” Mr Shamsyar Khan, senior agriculturist, highlight the techniques of modern farming in Chitral.
