PRCS announces to open its office in Chitral


PESHAWAR, Sept 29: The KP chapter of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) here on Monday announced its decision to set up its own office in Chitral. prcsIt said that the PRCS would be opening the offices in Chitral and Shangla in coordination with the German Red Cross (GRC) to enhances its operations and effectively respond to losses in times of natural calamities such as floods and earthquakes etc. The announcement was made by the chairman of the PRCS KP, retired Lt-Gen Muhammad Ahmed Khan during a presentation given to Drothy Schimitt, the head of a delegation from the GRC here. He said the aim of the new initiative was to enable the PRCS branches in the far-off areas of the two districts to boost their activities. The construction of the buildings for the new offices would cost about 37 million rupees and the buildings would also have some shops which would be rented out to generate revenue to be used in the relief activities.]]>
