KARACHI, July 27: Master chef, a cooking show created by France-based MasterChef UK, took auditions among the contestants in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
The programme is being telecast in private TV channel Urdu 1 and hosted and presented by three professional and internationally acclaimed Pakistani chefs: Zakir Qureshi, Mehboob Khan and Khurram Awan.
They are judging the contestants on a variety of cuisines which will be prepared by them on the show.
It’s a matter of pride for all of Chitralis that Gulnaz from Chitral has qualified to the grand final of MasterChef Pakistan due to her outstanding performance, and determination.
In the semifinal, she greatly impressed the judges by her eloquent presentation of delicious Chitrali cuisines “Kari and Cherra Shapik” and served the judges with green tea. The qualifying moment was very thrilling; Gulnaz could not stop her tears after crossing the milestone and hearing the encouraging remarks from all the judges. The renowned celebrity and cooking expert Chef Zakir Qureshi went on to the extent of remarking that it’s so delicious that somebody could not wait for long to another morsel. The idea of presenting cuisines of the south in the north and presenting traditional Chitrali foods to the tourists in Chitral was well appreciated by the judges in the restaurant intent to be operated by Gulnaz in Chitral.
The way Gulnaz is performing, we are much hopefully and pray that she would give taught time to the contestants and show same spirit and determination until a winning MasterChef is crowned in the final contest on Sunday July 27.
