Results of NTS test for appointment of constables announced

PESHAWAR, July 18: As many as 13,371 candidates out of the total 37,000 scored passing marks in the NTS test conducted for the appointment of constables in the KP police. The NTS test was conducted in Chitral, D.I Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Mingora, Timergara, Abbottabad and Mansehra simultaneously. According to details available with the NTS authorities, out of the 37,000 applicants, 16,000 qualified the physical and endurance test. These 16,000 candidates subsequently appeared in the written test from which 13,371 candidates were able to secure the passing marks. policeThe written test has been topped by a candidate hailing from the remote district of Kohistan. Similarly, amongst the top 20 qualifiers of written test, four hailed from Mansehra, three from Abbottabad, three from Dera Ismail Khan, two from Bannu, two from Karak and one each from Buner, Mardan, Chitral, Lakki Marwat and Lower Dir. Abbottabad has had the distinction of being the district with highest percentage of successful candidates (91.8 percent) and is closely followed by Bannu (90.68 percent) and D.I Khan (86.66 percent). A total of 107 female candidates have also been able to qualify the recruitment process. A total of 1878 vacancies Are available with the KP police in the rank of constables and it is expected that the top 1878 in the merit list will be able to join Police subject to their qualifying the psychological test.
