Doctor seeks action against Chitral MPA
CHITRAL, June 10: The in-charge of an Aga Khan Health Service Pakistan-run hospital in Garam Chashma has demanded the KP chief minister take notice of what he alleged violence by MPA Saleem Khan on the premises of the hospital. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Dr Mohammad Khalid said the MPA entered his office along with other people and hurled abuses on him and ransacked his office. He said the MPA also approached the local police to register an FIR against him after which he was called to the police station where the MPA’s accomplices kept on hooting at him. The doctor said he also filed an application with the police for the registration of an FIR against the MPA but to no avail. The doctor said the mother of the MPA was brought to the hospital in the evening of May 30 for the treatment of high blood pressure and vomiting. He said the patient was provided treatment and was discharged from the hospital on the request of the family after some hours when she stabilized. “The patient passed away at home the following day but the MPA is holding me responsible for her death,” he said. He alleged that two employees of the hospital – Dr. Mirajuddin and dispenser Abdul Jahan – had instigated the MPA against him.–Zahiruddin ChitralToday made repeated attempts to contact the MPA to take his version, but his mobile phone was switched off. ]]>
I support Mr. Sajid Masur’s views about Saleem Khan. FIR should be registered against the unruly MPA and his accomplices to make a lesson for others.
