CCDN office-bearers take oath

CHITRAL, May 13: An oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected CCDN chairperson and vice-chairperson of Chitral Community Development Network (CCDN), a network of local support organizations (LSOs), took place the CCDN newly-established office at Jang Bazaar Chitral. The event was participated by Mr. Abdul Ghaffar, Aditional Deputy Commissioner Chitral as chief guest and Sardar Ayub, Regional Programme Manager Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) presided over the event, says a press release. Mr. Abdul Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner Chitral, Mr. Tariq Mahmoud, District Monitoring Officer, Independent Monitoring Unit Chitral and Mr. Fazal Malik, Manager Institutional Development AKRSP were among the other guests. The CCDN board member and LSOs chairpersons were also present. First of all, the chief guest opened the new office by cutting ribbon and later Mr. Mphmmad Wazir, chairperson CCDN, and Mr. Sher Aga, Vice Chairperson CCDN, took oath from the chief guest. Addressing on the occasion, the new chairperson said CCDN will act as an active and strong civil society to serve the communities of the district with close collaboration of the district government/administration and non-governmental organizations for the welfare and wellbeing of the people. The chief guest while acknowledging the role of a strong and viable civil society showed great interest in future collaboration and partnership. The regional program manager of the AKRSP also emphasized the need of CCDN in the future development of the district and in the effective and efficient service delivery within the district in joint collaboration of district government/administration in his presidential address.]]>
