Religious scholar sees threat to peace

DROSH, May 7: Renowned religious and social personality Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir has said Chitral’ peace would be in danger if serious steps were not taken jointly by the government and the people of the valley. Addressing a large public gathering on the funeral of Muazazul Mulk at Osiak, he said the involvement of outsiders in any affairs inside Chitral wad dangerous and would not be acceptable at any cost. He said in family disputes the involvement of outsiders would create discomfort thus it could not be tolerated. Qari Nasir He said the government and public should work together and keep a vigil on elements who were trying to create tension and spoil the peace of the valley. He said that committees would be formed at village level to monitor the situation.]]>
