Development forum meets

CHITRAL, April 24: The newly shaped District Development Forum (DDF) held its meeting with Additional Assistant Commissioner Syed Mazhar Ali Shah in the chair. The meeting was attended by the heads of different government departments and non- governmental organizations working in Chitral. The meeting discussed ToRs developed for the forum. The additional assistant commissioner said that this forum would be discussing the activities of different organizations to enhance cooperation and coordination among departments and organizations. He said the DDF was formed on the direction of the provincial government and at the district level it would be headed by the deputy commissioner. He added that the DDF would be helpful in priority setting and resource allocation as well as controlling duplication of schemes. It is worthy to mention that DDF is being supported by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and similar forums were also being established in six other districts.]]>
