Orphan students given cheques

CHITRAL, Sept 3: As many as 279 orphan and poor students of different schools in Chitral were given cheques at a ceremony here on Tuesday. The cheques amounting to 2,574,000 rupees were arranged by the KP government. The cheques ewre distributed among the children at a ceremony held at the Centennial Model School for Boy Chitral. To hand over the cheques, project director Akbar Ali and general manager Sirajuddin ahd come to Chitral. The financial assistance of Rs1,000 per month has been arranged by a welfare organization set up by the provincial government in 2006.–S. Nazir Hussain  ]]>
