Another girl commits suicide

CHITRAL, Aug 27: A young girl in Booni town committed suicide as she was highly dejected over getting low per cent marks in her intermediate examination whose results were announced earlier this month. Chitral police spokesman inspector Buzurguddin said here on Tuesday that Shehr-e-Tamseel, daughter of Haider of Shakarandur in Booni, hanged herself to death inside her room. The police were conducing an inquiry into the incident to find the facts and reasons about the incident of suicide. It may be recalled that another girl committed suicide by jumping into the river Yarkhun at Ghoru near Mastuj two days back. With the two recent incidents, the number of suicide incidents committed by the women has exceeded 20 during the current year, as stated by a human rights activist.–Zahiruddin]]>
