Young girl commits suicide; constable killed on road

CHITRAL, Aug 24: A young girl committed suicide by jumping into the Yarkhun River at Ghoru village near Mastuj in upper Chitral, the local police said. The deceased was identified as Neelum Bibi, daughter of Syed Nabi, of the Ghoru village. She was a student of 8th class. The reason behind her suicide could not be ascertained. Meanwhile, one person was killed and two others injured when debris fell on a passenger jeep at Zait on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sarwarullah, a constable in Chitral police and resident of Kushum village. The injured were Mir Baiz Khan and Ashfaq Ahmed.
