USC official caught selling wheat flour in black market
DROSH, July 29: The in-charge of the Utility Store outlet in Drosh was caught red-handed while selling a big stock of subsidized wheat flour in the black market. Police said an FIR had been registered against the Utility Store outlet official for selling 60 bags of wheat flour to a shopkeeper Hanifullah in the Drosh bazaar. On a tip-off, the local office-bearers of the Tehreek-i-Insaf youth wing led by its president Samiullah and Insaf student federation’s chief Qazi Zubairuddin took the bags of wheat flour into their custody and informed the police. The police have registered an FIR against the accused but further action is awaited. The people of Drosh have asked the authorities of the Utility Store Corporation of Pakistan to take stern action against those who were depriving the citizens of the subsidized food items in order to fill their pockets even in the holy month of Ramazan. On the one hand, the consumers are facing rising inflation and on the other an official of the USC outlet was black marketing the subsidized wheat provided to the store for supply to the people. Such elements should be made an example for others so that no one can even dare to commit such a crime.]]>
