Environment walk held in Chitral

CHITRAL, June 5: The Chitral Heritage and Environment Protection Society (CHEPS), a civil society organization working for the promotion of environmental and cultural wellbeing of the region, held a walk before the start of the final of the District Polo Tournament 2013, says a press release.
The organization has been holding environmental and peace walks, practical cleanliness campaigns, educational and career counseling sessions, workshops, seminars and musical shows to create awareness regarding environmental degradation and cultural heritage of Chitral at local and national level. Since its inception it has been an active part of the major festivals celebrated at Qaqlasht, Chitral Town and Shandoor in stressing the need of protecting the beautiful landscapes.
Lecturers of the S.B.B.U and AKHSS, Chitral including EM-Syed Mazhar Ali Shah and Chairman CHEPS led the walk reiterating the message of Clean and Green Pakistan to the huge crowd gathered at the polo ground.
