APML leader brings Musharraf's message

CHITRAL, May 7:  The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) candidate for NA-32, Shahzada Iftikharuddin, told a public gathering in Garam Chashma on Tuesday that Musharraf has directed them not to boycott the elections in Chitral. 762 copyTo make the people believe, APML leader Syeda Afshan Adil Advocate from Islamabad was there with a message from Musharraf for the Chitralis to vote for the three candidates of the APML in Chitral. The public gathering was presided over by local APML leader Haji Amir Mohammad. Other speakers on the occasion paid tributes to Musharraf, saying he was the only president who took special interest in the abandoned Lowari tunnel project and constructed it to give a real freedom to the Chitrali nation. They said although Musharraf was disqualified from contesting elections and also banned for life to participate in politics, his name cannot be removed from the hearts and minds of the people of Chitral. “And in return for Musharraf’s services, the Chitralis will cast their votes in favour of the APML candidate Shahzada Iftikharuddin,” they said. The speakers said Chitralis are known for their loyalty and they never forget their benefactors. A large number of people belonging to all walks of life attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Shahzada Iftikhar said, “We are contesting the elections on APML tickets because we have been allowed to take part in the elections.”]]>
