Post office employee falls to death

CHITRAL, April 14:  A 48-year-old man died after falling from a bridge at Chumarkhon. According to the Chitral police, Abdul Hameed, a resident of Orghoch, worked in the post office in Chitral. He was going home from Chitral on his motorbike when he met with the accident while crossing the suspension bridge. His body was recovered from the river by local volunteers. An eyewitness told this scribe that the deceased had some injuries to his face and the forehead. The SHO police station Chitral said the local police had started an investigation and would submit a report soon. He said it was yet to be ascertained whether the motorbike rider had fallen into the river accidentally or was killed by someone and thrown into the river.—GH Farooqui]]>
