Musharraf to file nomination for NA-32 on 28th

CHITRAL, March 27: Former president and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief Pervez Musharraf will file nomination papers for NA-32 Chitral constituency on Thursday.       musharafPresident of APML Chitral, Shahzada Khalid Pervez told APP on Wednesday that nomination papers for the former President for NA-32 Chitral constituency would be filed with the Returning Officer on March 28. He said the party had decided to field the former President from this mountainous constituency where the party had a strong vote bank. He was optimistic that the APML chief would easily sail through the constituency in the upcoming general elections on May 11. He said Musharraf had chosen this constituency in Khyber Pakthunkhwa as the people of Chitral wanted to “pay glowing tribute” to the former president for inaugurating construction work on the sole gigantic Lowari Tunnel Project in 2005.–APP]]>

It is not Musharraf rather it is these so-called politicians who have paved the way for him to treat them the way he treated the goldsmith of Raiwind in a 1999 coupe. They failed to prove themselves as leaders and instead befooled poor Chitralis to achieve their nefarious motives one by one. They focused on drawing monthly commissions from the food department contractors. Then they helped them in making their way easy to reach the dark power corridors. They built bungalows for themselves and amassed uncounted for ill-wealth to secure the future of their coming generations. Their grand children will enjoy with the hard-earned taxpayers money of poor Chitralis. A man is master of his own honour. We must not blame Musharraf for disgracing Chitralis by contesting elections from Chitral. All the old guards of Chitrali politics such Shahzada Muhiuddin, Saeed Ahmed, Zainul Abideen, Haji Ghulam Mohammad, Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali along with his fellow clerics, Salim Khan, Begum Shahzadi Suleman, the unknown Ghulam Mohiuddin and all their immediate relatives like sons, spouses, grandchildren and so on so forth should be disqualified at least for 10 to 15 years. The time is rife the youth below 35 should be given the task to represent the Chitralis.

After coming of Musharraf, there is no future of local politicians, this seems a possibility today. I don’t know why Musharraf is coming to Chitral. Poeple say that he made the Lowari tunnel but if that 10 billion rupees are the criterion, why he is not contesting from any seat in Balochistan where he spent hundreds of billions. Once Nawaz Sharif was prime minsiter and during his visit to Chitral before being ousted by mnusharraf in 199 he held a jalsa in Chitral town and announced one billion rupees for development of Chitral. Then during the same speech, he said,”Eik Arab rupees, kitney, eik araab rurey. eik arab rupee kabhi suna hai.” This was an open insult to the proud and highly educated people of Chitral. But now Musharraf in a very civilized way wants to disgrace us for the Lowari tunnel as though we never deserved it as citizens of Pakistan. as a nation it is shameful for us.
