Legendary polo player remembered

BOONI, March 27: At a reference held at Government Degree College for Boys Booni, speakers paid tribute to Sardar Mohammad Baig Lal of Khost, who died on January 27, 2013 .

The even was organized by Brilliance School of Studies and Shandur Travel and Tours. Former district education officer Mukaram Shah was the chief guest while senior banker Adnan Zainul Abideen presided over the ceremony.

A large number of people attended the ceremony. Many prominent figures spoke about the personality of the deceased. He was a good teacher and was called king of polo, they added. Hashim Subedar of Charun in his speech appraised Baig Lal for his services.

Syed Sardar Hussain talked about the habit of training of falcons and horses by the deceased. Mukaram Shah declared him not only the proud son of Chitral but also the big name of the whole region including Gilgit-Baltistan.–Munir Hussyn Fatimi
