Over 60 cases taken up by PHC's circuit court

CHITRAL, Feb 23: More than 60 cases were taken up by the circuit court of Peshawar High Court at Chitral during the last three days. The cicuit court was established here last year. phcJustice Roohul Amin of PHC arrived here on Wednesday to hear the cases. In the past, the litigants had to go to Mingora where more than one thousand cases of Chitral were being heard. Meanwhile, the chairman of Human Rights Foundation, Niaz A Niazi Advocate, has demanded of the chief justice of Peshawar High Court to transfer all the cases of Chitral being heard in Swat circuit bench and appoint a permanent judge for Chitral. In a press release issued here on Saturday, he said holding court for some days on a monthly basis will not address the basic problem of the people of Chitral as a large number of the litigants still have to travel to Swat.–Zahiruddin]]>
