Body to promote regional languages approved

PESHAWAR, Jan 14: The KP government has approved the establishment of an authority for promotion of regional languages. Besides, creation of 14 posts has also been approved to make the authority operational. The final approval was given by CM Amir Haider Khan Hoti here on Monday. A statement said the provincial assembly had already approved Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Promotion of Regional Languages Act 2012. A total of Rs18,100 million has been approved for the authority during financial year 2011-12 while the financial implications on the approved posts are Rs2, 712,752. The posts approved including one post each of Executive Director (BPS-19), Deputy Director (BPS-18), Account Officer (BPS-17), P.A to Executive Director (BPS-16), Chowkidar, Sweeper (BPS-1) while two posts each of Assistant (BPS-14), Computer Operator (BPS-12) Driver (BPS-4) and Naib Qasid (BPS-1).]]>
