Chitralis protest against delay in bypass project
CHITRAL, Oct 11: Hundreds of people including shopkeepers of Krup Risht took out a protest procession against the inordinate delay in the completion of the Chitral byepass. The protesters were addressed by the former MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and former district nazim Maghfirat Shah. The angry protesters asked the government to complete the road project which has become a nuisance for the public instead of giving them facility. The speakers warned that the people of Chitral will resort to violent protests if work on the project was not started any more. JI CONGREGATION: The acting secretary general of Jamaat-i-Islami, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Noorul Haq has said that no political party in the county wields a system of discipline in its ranks like Jamaat-i-Islami. Addressing the district congregation of the members of the party here on Wednesday, he said that the party stands head and shoulder among the political parties in the democratic and transparent mode of elections to its offices on different levels. The provincial deputy secretary Abdul Wasi and district amir Maulana Sher Aziz also spoke on the occasion. Later on polling was held for the election of district amir of the party supervised by the provincial secretary of the party while the results of the polling will be declared from its provincial headquarters after counting the ballot papers and seeking the approval of the central amir.–Zahiruddin]]>
